| Labor Day 2000 Minutes

Under clearing skies. President
ROC called the meeting to order and the minutes of the Memorial Day
meeting were approved as published. Bob Leonard reported that we
have $5468.29 in the bank and $6280.42 in our CD. Bob added that
thanks to donations, the VIP Float did not cost the club any money.
Don Leeger reported the
membership as stable although an exact figure is an ephemeral

Bill Tanger followed with the

is shouldering the legal fees. Tanger said the project has 15
letters of support but more are welcome. He asked the membership
to find other conservation groups or political entities to write
in support of the project. Letters and donation may be sent to
the FFV president, Tanger or the Town of Pearisburg.

this discovery, along with records linking the property's
ownership to a Revolutionary War veteran, will certainly aid in
fund-raising and garnering letters of support for the park.

Tanger said the Friends of
