2005 Randy Carter Memorial Award

Brad Davis, the current president of the Mattaponi Pamunkey Rivers Association (MPRA), is pictured with me as he received the Randy Carter Memorial Award on behalf of their grassroots conservation group.  The presentation was made on Saturday night, 03 / 19, at their general business / membership meeting in King William county.  It was a very rewarding moment for their members. 

You probably remember that the MPRA was honored for their premier stewardship and outreach programs targeting area youth.  their long term, ongoing conservation effort was cited  and  the uncanny productivity this group achieves with their legislative  and  clean - up activities earned high marks from the Float Fishermen of Virginia (FFVA).

During the presentation  ...  a brief overview of the FFVA was offered  and  the prestigious Randy Carter Memorial Award was introduced.  The MPRA chose to circulate a press release on this.
