Winter Meeting
2001 Minutes

President Larry Born called the Winter Meeting to order,
December 1, 2001, 1 PM, at the Cumberland State Forest.
It was moved and approved that minutes from the Labor Day Meeting be accepted as presented.
The Treasurer reported $7,006.99 in the checking account and $6,676.13 in a CD. $2,000 taken from the checking account will be deposited into an account for the Foundation. It was moved and approved that the Treasurer's Report be accepted as presented.
There was discussion on electronically printing and sending the newsletter via the USPS. There was also the usual request for information/articles to print in the newsletter.
Items addressed in the Conservation Report include the Whitt Riverbend Park, State of the Rivers Report, studies for proposed dams on the James River and tributaries, other power plant issues, and discussion about various organizations we should support.
