The beginning of the end for Yahoo? We need to decide what to do about the Yahoo email accounts. It wasn't bad when I could route them to one account. I don't have time to logon to each of these accounts and check them. In addition to the main email address for the state org. (floatfishermen@yahoo.com) we have the following addresses.

It is far too costly to pay for the forwarding service for all of these ($29.99 / year each) especially if we are not using them. If any chapter wants to maintain their address please contact me and I will transfer it (some of the chapters are already doing this). Otherwise I am going to delete the accounts. Yahoo's ads have become far too obnoxious anyway, I think we should look for a better alternative.

Since then I have found a company that will host our web page for $7.95 / month and give us 150 MB Storage, 50 POP3 Email Accounts and Unlimited Email Forwarding Accounts. We are paying $4.95 / month for hosting alone. This would allow email addressed to the club, officers and chapters to be routed to the proper persons. It would also allow continuity in that when officers change the email address could easily be rerouted to the new officer. This would also eliminate some of the junk email. Email addresses would be President@FloatFishermen,org, Secretary@FloatFishermen.org, Etc. This would be enough storage space to store all our pages plus build an online newsletter library. We need to make a decision on this at the next meeting.
