Most of the events listed are organized by the Roanoke Valley or other chapters of FFV. State wide events, in which all of the various chapters gather together are also listed. In addition, other events organized by groups not necessarily associated with FFV, are listed because they may be of interest to members. Additional information, including maps and directions can sometimes be found at the state or chapter web sites.

Individual participants, whether member or guest, are responsible for researching river sections independently to determine suitability, and are always responsible for his or her own safety.
