Memorial Day Weekend at R5,Rappahannock River / Sunday, May 27th 2007 |

Following the FFV State Business Meeting Sunday morning, Bob DeRossett, Bob Pillow, Juanita Callis and Bill Tanger took off for Fredericksburg to checkout the Rappahannock through the now cleared Embry Dam. Following a short drive (Fredericksburg is about 20 miles south of Remmington on 17), a quick visit to the Virginia Outdoor Center, and the shuttle set up, two canoes and two kayaks put in at Mott's Landing. | |

Short stretches of flat water, occasional riffles and frequent islands dominated the first portion of the float. |
