Who Are We?

The Float Fishermen of Virginia is a statewide organization of canoeist kayakers, rafters, and other boaters. Together we float and waterways of Virginia and work to preserve and protect these important natural resources.

There are chapters throughout Virginia and each has it's own personality. One chapter may paddle whitewater; another may do mostly flat water fishing. But all pull together when it comes to protecting waterways.

Our chapter, the Steve Keller Chapter, focus on smallmouth fishing on mountain rivers of central Virginia.

What Do We Do?

From March through December there are normally at least two trips per month ranging from flat water fishing trips here in the Tidewater area, fishing trips to the mountains where we canoe anywhere from class A to class 2 rapids, and Whitewater trips with some great 3 class rapids.
